Easily Combine Rubber Stamping, Scrapbooking and Paper Tole

E-mail
Paper tole is the process of producing three dimensional art from flat stamping images or prints. This is done successfully by cutting, placing and securing paper pieces until the three dimensional rendition is created. To embellish scrapbook pages and card making crafts with paper tole you will need a few basic tools. Stamping supplies are essential to produce the quantity of the image you wish to dimensionalize. This includes your craft rubber stamps, stamping inks and chalks. You will need a craft knife and a cutting mat for cutting and a good pair of scissor may come in handy with less detailed stamped images. To secure the pieces to each other you will need foam squares for scrapbooking. Depending on their size you may need to cut them smaller. It is important to consider your rubber stamps with perspective. To do this, check a stamped image for components that could appear closer than others. A good example might be an animal facing you, where the back legs would be furthest away, then the body and the head will be closest. You can create paper tole art with animals, flowers, landscapes and anything else which has background and foreground elements.

Poinsettia Rubber Stamps - The Perfect Stamp For Christmas

E-mail
Poinsettia rubber stamps are becoming one of the most popular stamps to purchase around Christmas time. They can be used to create stunning Christmas card ideas and can also be used when creating Christmas scrapbook page layouts.

Typically a poinsettia has red, pink or white leaves and a green stork. Due to a Mexican legend the poinsettia is associated with Christmas. It is said that many years ago a young child wanted to give a gift to Christ on Christmas eve but had no money. The child picked some weeds that were growing by the side of the road. After taking the weeds to church and placing them there the child told the congregation that god should gratefully receive the gift as it was given with love. The weeds bloomed into beautiful red and green flowers and the congregation felt that they had seen a miracle.

Lessons from a Scrapbooking Organizer

It was an eerily quiet Sunday. The kids had gone to their friend's house; somewhere in the bowels of our home my hubby was hunkered down in front of a football game. I sat at the kitchen table gazing into a cup of steaming tea, allowing the stress of the whirlwind week to lift from my shoulders.

It had been so long since I had had some me time that I was in a type of jet lag. Then it hit me! I had hours all to myself and free from the worries of day-to-day life. It took me a few minutes that morning to realize this day was mine and I could do anything I wanted without interruption. I jumped out of my chair and cleared the table off. What I wanted to do was scrapbook until my eyeballs fell out. Ideas popped into my head for several great pages and I knew I had all the scrapbooking supplies to get them done!
